University of North Georgia (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾) President Dr. Bonita Jacobs will add her name to the "all-star panel" of women who have been featured at the WomenSource power breakfast in Gainesville, Georgia.

Jacobs will speak at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Panera Bread at 625 Dawsonville Highway in Gainesville. Other women who have spoken at the power breakfast include Carol Burrell, president and CEO of Northeast Georgia Health System;  Mimi Collins, president of Longstreet Clinic; and Stacey Dickson, president of Lake Lanier CVB.

Elizabeth Burnette, executive director of WomenSource, said the nonprofit is lucky to have a woman of Jacobs' caliber in education in north Georgia.

"I am looking forward to hearing about what it took to become president of a university," she said. "It will be fun to hear about her early days in her career path, the challenges she overcame, and the successes she experienced."
